In the article “Franz Ruppert about IoPT and the intention method” Ruppert talks about how the process of ‘self-resonances’ works. What you do as a person asking the question (intention bringer) and when. A few things are hardly mentioned or not mentioned at all.
First of all; how do you arrive at your desire or intention? How do you break down your sentence of intention into parts?
The other article is about how to formulate an intention and the inner attitude during the process.
About the desire or intention
The IoPT method depends on your intention. In German, the word “Anliegen” is somewhere between “care”, “need” and “intention”, “desire”. It is something you need or desire and have not yet been able to achieve. There is something inside you blocking it.
Working with your intention ensures that you know where you want to go and that it becomes visible where you are holding yourself back. It also has the advantage that you train yourself to take autonomy and I do not fill in what you need.
Naturally, I will facilitate you in making visible what you are encountering when you don’t know it yourself.
When I started doing resonances myself, I didn’t really know what desires were. I came with big wishes and beautiful sentences because I felt that I had to take real steps. That it had to be ‘good’.
That’s why I want to clarify “Anliegen”.
How to make an intention or need conscious?
An intention can be a sentence that is relevant to you, or a collection of individual words. It can be a statement, an investigation (question) or a ‘direction’. Or a necessity, a need, a desire.
Examples of -linguistic- intentions with different connotations could be:
- I want to open my heart
- Why don’t I want to go to sleep?
- I want to feel the cause of my illness
- I bellyache mum
- I
You don’t even have to make a sentence anymore.
And whatever your intention is, I can’t say anything about it. If I were to tell you what a good question is for you, I would be doing the same thing you experienced as a child. I would pretend that I know you better than you know yourself. I would put you back in the so-called symbiosis trauma.
Working with a maximum of 3 elements.
From your intention you choose a maximum of 3 elements, where a word or a punctuation mark is an element. From October 2022, “I” will be a mandatory word within the 3 words.
Let’s take as an example the sentence “Why don’t I want to go to sleep?”. These are 7 elements including punctuation marks. You can choose a maximum of 3 elements from this.
You choose words or parts that are important to you. It is important that you feel ‘charge’ with your intention. And you are allowed to work with fewer than 3 elements. For example, I sometimes provide guidance with 1 word or sign and that can be particularly profound.
The longer the sentence the more confusion there is; the less you force yourself to make a choice: what is it really about for me?
Think about what you care about and which elements you would choose if your intention were: “What happened to me that I still feel fear when I open myself in loving care?”.
